I was told at my previous service, 33000kms, that I had a tight spot in my oem chain. Will need replacing.

From everything I've read on bikes etc... it is generally advisable to replace sprockets along with chains. Even wear and stuff like that. Feel free to elaborate if you'd like.

Now my 36000km service is due shortly. I'm at 34500 ish.
I want to get new chain and sprockets before taking it to get it serviced. I don't want to pay for their chain or sprockets which I'm sure will be much dearer and maybe lesser quality than what I can get from BGW or overseas.

After doing searches on the internet,
I've decided that I want the following: 520 pitch chain, being lighter than oem 525, mvxz chain in black and black rear sprocket. I'm going the all black look.
I'd love to get a power up kit (some are -1front +2 rear)but that'll put my speedo out. What's recommended? Will having +1 at the rear make much of a difference without having put my speedo out by much or should I just go stock?

Next thing. Looking at your site I couldn't find a black chain although its an option according to one of the charts posted.
And there are no driven sprockets, let alone one in black.

Is there anything you can suggest and/or do regarding all of the above before I book it in for major service. Since they're servicing the bike I may as well get them to do chain to save on labour costs. I'd try and do it myself but dont have right tools

Sounds like the best thing you can do at this stage is to fit one of our power up kits

By going down one tooth on the front will make very little difference to your speedo
And worst comes to worst and you are overly worried about what the speedo is doing then you can buy a speedo healer to rectify this small issue

The chains we have here are gold one's and we have no black sorry
By the way you have done well to have a chain with 33000kms on it...
